Adults’ Wellbeing
Wellbeing of Team Members
At The Vine we hold a concept of Family Team. We are a family team working together for the growth of our learners both academically and as individuals.
Promoting positive wellbeing across the team is essential for cultivating a mentally healthy school. Our goal is to create positive and sustainable lifestyles for all team members. Positive wellbeing can contribute to improving overall performance and work satisfaction, which in turn has positive effects on our pupils. Our school prides itself in providing an environment and atmosphere that prioritises wellbeing for our entire school community. The school endeavours to:
– build a sense of belonging and community, where all team members feel part of the school’s strategy and mission
– foster a psychologically safe and secure workplace, where all team members feel valued, respected and cared for
– offer quality professional development opportunities that empower all team members to develop the confidence, skills and knowledge needed to support the children more effectively
– encourage all team members to express themselves without fear but with respect, suggest solutions and share innovative ideas.
Wellbeing of Parents
Raising a child with special needs is a journey during which a parent may feel misunderstood and isolated. It can be an emotional and physical rollercoaster. We understand this, at The Vine and thus create an atmosphere of support that empowers parents with coping strategies and advice for home and even in the community.
Our relationship with parents is crucial for the progress of our learners both academically and as individuals, and so, as a response to our community-oriented approach, parents are comfortable with approaching the school when necessary. We take time to listen to parents in our school community and together we draft strategies tailored to the needs of their child.
Trainings are offered regularly for the parents of our learners to raise awareness, educate and empower.
