Adults’ Wellbeing

Wellbeing of Staff Members

Promoting positive wellbeing across the staff team is essential for cultivating a mentally healthy school. Our goal is to create positive and sustainable lifestyles for all staff. Positive staff wellbeing can contribute to improving overall performance and job satisfaction, which in turn has positive effects on our students. Our school prides itself in providing an environment and atmosphere that prioritises wellbeing. The school endeavours to:

– build a sense of belonging and community, where employees feel part of the school’s strategy and mission

– foster a psychologically safe and secure workplace, where staff feel valued, respected and cared for

– offer quality professional development opportunities that empower staff to develop the confidence, skills and knowledge needed to do their job more effectively

– encourage staff to express themselves without fear but with respect, suggest solutions and share ideas

Wellbeing of Parents

Being a parent is hard. Looking after a child with additional needs can be even more demanding for parents. We understand this at the Vine International School hence our continuous support to parents. We also understand that parents need to be physically and emotionally healthy in order to support their child effectively. As a way to support the wellbeing of parents, our school:

– provides parents’ trainings to enhance awareness, knowledge and skills that will enhance their sense of competence, their ability to make the right decisions, develop strategies relevant to their child’s needs and support the child more effectively while looking after their own wellbeing.

– shares strategies relevant and focused on the child for home use and consistency between the school and home to enhance independence and personal development

– creates and shares with parents relevant resources for home support with communication, behaviour and routines.
