Objectives

The Objectives of The Vine International School are

  • To work in close collaboration with parents to ensure consistency in the support and learning journey of each child.
  • To provide ‘individualisation’ of any delivery of the curriculum to the learners and the expectation to build on strengths but always looking for progress.
  • To provide a ‘Holistic Pathway’ that recognises that every learner will take a unique journey through their education and personal development.
  • To promote a type of ‘identification and assessment’ that is crucial to plan and meet the needs of learners.
  • To support parents and guardians with trainings and strategies for continuous development of the child at home.
  • To provide a learning environment and resources which recognise the learning difficulties of our learners, play to their strengths, support them to develop those skills which may not come naturally to them and prepares them for a full, independent and successful life.
  • To achieve mainstream integration when and if possible.
  • To provide our pupils with an understanding of emotional regulation and the strategies needed to achieve this.
  • To provide our pupils with an understanding of their social needs and appropriate behaviours within these.
  • To provide our pupils with a positive self-esteem and an understanding of how uniquely wonderful they are.
  • To enhance in our pupils a range of self-help and independence skills.
  • To help our pupils develop a sense of sensory integration and physical development.
  • To provide our pupils with a clear pathway into adulthood and an understanding of their next steps.
  • To provide our pupils with an ability to express themselves appropriately, positively and with maturity.
