School Events

Everybody learns in different ways. Students can be audio, visual or kinaesthetic learners. School trips enhance the hands-on approach to learning which we focus on at The Vine International School and bring classroom learning to life by giving students the opportunity to visualise and experience the course material.

From visits to museums, religious centres, historical, cultural or sport sites, parks and playgrounds, educational trips give students the opportunity to:

  • Experience new environments outside of the school gates and be immersed into experiences which have been found invaluable for their development and understanding. This allows students to see outside of the box and broaden their horizons, helping them develop or discover personal interests that they did not even know they had.
  •  To engage and socialise with others in a way completely different to within the school premises.
  •  To enhance their speech and language abilities. The classroom environment can be stressful and overwhelming for some students, causing them to feel shy, unsure about themselves and how they should act. The idea of speaking out in front of the class can make them feel anxious. However, the excitement and enthusiasm of a school trip can lead to more confidence in talking about the experience. Moreover, a school trip can expose a non-verbal student to a language that he or she may find more relevant and meaningful, and may thus begin to use. Even the quietest students can come out of their shell on school trips and begin to verbalise their excitement.
  •  Learn without realising that they are learning; and so, challenging behaviours are less likely to occur.
